One of the top ten theme parks in the world is in the United States of America, in the State of Florida. This is Walt Disney World. To be found in Walt Disney World are water parks and four Disney theme parks. There are also two shopping, dining and entertainment districts and the activities that one can engage in include sports such as golf or relaxation at the various spas. The Disney Resort Hotels are also scattered all over.

Walt Disney World in the State of Florida covers an area measuring approximately 47 square miles and has been repeatedly voted one of the best places on earth to engage in high-speed thrilling adventures. You can also visit it to just get a tan or just go shopping. Walt Disney World attracts people of all ages and not just children. In Europe, one theme park that is among the top ten in the world is Thorpe Park. Thorpe Park has made a name for itself for possessing rollercoaster rides that are guilty of giving an adrenaline rush to fun seekers that equals no other in the whole wide world. What’s more, the roller coasters have been made to look and feel real through the use of sound effects and colour schemes.
Perhaps due to the huge popularity of Thorpe Park and its roller coasters, every year since 1999 has seen one ride being added to the menu. Now there are ten looping roller coasters and this is a world record in itself. The other record that Thorpe Park holds is having the fastest roller coaster on the old continent. This is the Intamin Accelerator which reaches a maximum height of two hundred feet.

Chessington World of Adventures is another top ten theme park. There are various attractions at the theme park ranging from water rides to roller coasters. It is a family park and you and your family can get to explore Toyland, Beanoland, Bubbleworks, Dragon’s Fury and Vampire all of which are big attractions at the theme park.
Mention Universal Studios and the first thing that comes to people’s minds are the numerous Hollywood films the studio has released. Universal Studios in Los Angeles, better referred to as the film capital of the world, is not just a movie studio but also a top ten theme park. And the fun at this theme park revolves around the blockbuster films that have become the hallmark of the studio. The whole fun is in the water rides and other attractions which in a way replicate the experiences of the action figures in the various Universal Studio Blockbusters. The theme park actually boasts of having the first blockbuster roller coaster in the world. Besides that there is Universal CityWalk which is an entertainment village of sorts with sixty seven cool things to sample! Then there is the movie thrill park going under the name of Universal Studios HollywoodTM. The theme park, due to the complexity of the attractions, is best enjoyed by over ten year olds.

PortAventura Park is best known for its roller coaster rides. One of the more famous ones is the Dragon Khan which has eight inverted loops. There is also a 2-track roller coaster known as Stampida which is made of wood. The difference between a one track roller coaster and a two track roller coaster is that with the former, people are screaming behind and in front but with a two track people are in addition to the front and back also screaming on the side! Exotic dances can be watched at the PortAventura Park as well as orchestra music drawn from various cultures across the world. The fireworks extravaganza at the PortAventura Park has no equal in the world.
The Universal Studios in the State of Florida gives visitors the opportunity to see what a real TV or film set is like. And besides the sets of famous films and TV shows, both recent and old, there are also rides available as well as thrilling shows to catch.
Seaworld Orlando also joins the crème de la crème of theme parks. Other than the floorless roller coaster you get to visit a coral reef containing bottlenose dolphins, beluga whales, polar bears and a walrus.
Lego Death Star. Ticks all the boxes
Legoland is another top ten theme park. As you may have guessed, it is the place to be for all Lego fans. Visiting Legoland would not only a thrilling experience with the Jungle Coaster cruising at speeds of sixty kilometres per hour, but also a learning experience with famous historical figures built from Lego material scattered all over.

My favourite theme park is Warner Bros. Movie World, located on the Gold Coast in Australia. It is such a good park, but is so under rated! They should build a Warner Bros. Movie World in Orlando!
