Free PDF Ebooks for Travellers

Over the next few weeks I will be travelling to a lot of destinations and have been scouring the web for useful PDF resources to take with me.

My search has only just started, but just look what I have found!

French Phrase Book PDF (more languages coming soon) - My skills with languages, even my own, are poor at best, but it is always handy to at least be able to ask directions to the nearest wash room and to order a beer!

PDF Travel guides from Moxon. These travel guides are nicely written books that give you a sense of some of the places you can visit and see, and this guy has been to a lot of places! They are a really nice companion to the paid-for guides you can get and provide a different perspective than the run of the mill online reviews.

If you are going to be using public transport, try and see if you can grab a free map to put on your iPhone. Searching Google there always seems to be something available, even though I am sure I read these things were copyrighted up the wazoo!:

Convert your own travel documents to PDF with the free PDF converter - Just in case your documents go astray it could be a good idea to store some files away on a thumb drive, your laptop or your phone. Maybe even upload them somewhere secure … you never know when you might need them.
