With summer quickly approaching, a water park is sounding like an ideal place to stay cool. There are water parks all around the world that feature some of the most daring slides and exciting rides to keep us happy despite the sizzling heat. It does not matter what holiday area you are located in, it is likely that there is at least one impressive water park relatively close by.

The problem with a number of water parks is that they tend to be closed for a portion of the year, as it is not a lot of fun to go to a water park in the cold weather. The good news is that Australia’s Wet n’ Wild Water World is open all year long.
Wet n’ Wild Water World has a number of exciting attractions. You can experience the thrill of surfing a wave that is 30 metres tall on the thrilling ride called Surfrider. The whole family can enjoy the Mammoth Falls waterslide together on a single inner tube. This fun slide spans 200 metres.

While many water parks are outside, The United Kingdom’s Sandcastle Water Park is nestled safely indoors. Because of its indoor construction, this park also enjoys year round activity. There are several attractions that make up this water park and there are plenty to suit each individual in your family.
One exciting ride that you will find at the Sandcastle Water Park is the Masterblaster water coaster. This ride spans 250 metres in length and it is practically guaranteed to give you a thrill. There is also a great wave pool where everyone can relax as well.
If you are looking to spend a relaxing holiday at a water park, consider a trip to Atlantis in the Bahamas. Paradise Island is the home of the tropical getaway that is widely recognized as Atlantis. There is also a special area in the park which provides a great place for children to play.

In the United States you will find Water Country USA which is located in Williamsburg, Virginia. This water park is themed like no other which offers a look back into the 1950s. From the music that is played throughout the park to the styling of the rides, you will forget what year it really is.
While visiting Water Country USA, make sure not to miss a chance to ride the Hubba Highway which spans more than three acres and features some exciting river rapids. The Nitro Racer waterslides are always a hit as well. Six people can race towards the bottom at high speeds on these thrilling slides.
You will not find a water park anywhere else in the world that is comparable to the World Water Park in Edmonton, Canada. What makes this park so unique is that it is actually a part of a large shopping mall. This park is exceptionally large and features slides that are 26 metres tall. You will also find a gigantic wave pool at this water park as well. Some of the attractions come with fun names such as the Sky Screamer and Nessie’s Revenge.
Located in China, the Chimelong Water Park was just recently opened in 2007. Spanning 400,000 square metres of land, the Chimelong Water Park is the largest in the world. Some of the most exciting water attractions can be found at this large water park including one of the world’s longest lazy rivers. Just about every attraction at the water park has been the recipient of an award.

The technology that is incorporated into the Chimelong Water Park is also worth mentioning. They have implemented a special water treatment system that ensures that PH levels are safe while at the same time removing harmful germs.
Another unique water park called Tropical Islands can be found in Brandenburg, Germany. Along with an impressive water park, Tropical Islands also features an artificial rainforest. Visitors will find a place to eat food hidden in the rainforest.
